Binkley Donates Sculpture to Wigs for Kids BC

wigs for kids bc, michael binkley sculptor in stone

Once again, I am donating a sculpture to the Wigs for Kids Auction. A branch of the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation, Wigs for Kids is a program for children who are suffering from cancer or other serious illnesses to get a custom-fitted human-hair wig. Wigs for Kids BC’s goal is to boost a child’s confidence, allowing them to experience life with fun and dignity.

I have donated one of my abstract bird sculptures, executed in a variety of the world famous Cararra, Italy white marble from the Petacchi quarries. The smooth, matte surfaces of the sculpture compliment the free flowing lines of the wings and tail. It is 8″ long. As with most of my bird sculptures, this one is balanced to spin when you gently push the tail.

The fundraising evening is set for Saturday, October 19, 2013. Go to Wigs for Kids BC for more information.

When you bid on this sculpture at the auction, remember that you are supporting a Charity, so be generous! The sculpture is a free gift to you.
