Binkley Owl Flies to Prince Edward Island
I am pleased to announce that my sculpture, “Stately Owl” has found the home of acupuncturist, Daniel Schulman in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
Daniel contacted me via email, saying he loved the piece and wanted it to complete a vignette he was creating in his living room above the fireplace. He decided to purchase the sculpture and after its successful journey across Canada, my owl now resides with “Mountain Mist,” a block print by Suezan Aikins, and two ceramic works by John Leach. Daniel reports he is most pleased with the sculpture, and I am pleased to be in such good artistic company. The subject and scale work very well in the room.
I always have a concern when new patrons select at piece from my website, based on visuals and written content alone. This art selection process is vastly different from visiting my gallery and viewing the sculptures with all of one’s senses in person.
Daniel took a risk in trusting me and I am so glad that he loves the sculpture. What do you think of the arrangement?

Lovely.

I think it’s marvellous. Always loved stately owl and he looks quite pleased with himself among such distinguished pieces. It’s so comforting to know that your beautiful works find such great homes…….Sandi Kalmar, avid supporter and admirer of Michael Binkley’s work.

I snuck downstairs last night around 2 am to find owl had left his granite pedestal and was flying across the mountainside amongst Suezan’s evergreens! Back on his granite perch by daylight! He seems to be adapting fully to his new habitat. 🙂 And another original piece depicting birch is arriving today that will hang to the left of Owl, completing the picture.

Love it!
