Changsha Sculpture Complete
Michelle arrived in Changsha safely on Saturday morning. It was so good to hold her after being apart for six weeks! Of course I was happy to be back together, but Michelle also brought my replacement air hammer so I could complete my Changsha sculpture.
I worked for a few more days and on Tuesday, October 28, 2014, Michelle and I pronounced “Look to the Horizon” to be complete.
It has been quite an adventure here in Changsha, China since September 15. In spite of the heat, humidity, tool malfunctions and a sculpture that is four feet taller than expected, I have met the challenges and completed my contract. This is the largest sculpture of my career so far, and I am proud of it.
