I definitely recommend visiting Michael's studio when you have the chance; it's not too far from Vancouver and it's easy to find just off the highway in Squamish. He has an inviting and engaging setup that allows visitors to view the finished sculptures in the gallery, and also the works in progress in his studio. Michael also lets visitors touch the sculptures which is great if you like to explore the vast array of different stones and textures. I really like his style and I'm already looking forward to my next visit!

I’ve always loved visiting his studio and being able to observe his sculpting process and now that he is in Squamish it’s a destination to take my friends and out of town visitors enroute to or from Whistler or just for the amazing drive along Howe Sound. His studio is beautiful and so easy to find just off the highway. You will not be disappointed.

I have been a collector of Michael’s work for years, and visited his gallery in North Vancouver many times when he was situated there. When he moved his studio to Squamish, it gave me one more reason to drive west, and an enjoyable stop on the way home from Whistler. The new studio is a light filled space with high ceilings, and his workspace is adjacent, so if you’re lucky you can get a ‘behind the curtain’ look at his works in progress.
