Digital Art Transforms Hotel Lobby in Vegas

A few months ago, Michael and I headed to Las Vegas for a friend’s birthday celebration. We have watched the building of City Center over the last five years and finally were able to stay at the Aria. During one of our late night jaunts down the strip the group of us bumbled into the newly opened Hotel & Casino, The Cosmopolitan.

We were stunned by what we saw.

We were surrounded everywhere by beautiful and innovative design – from an oversized crystal chandelier in which sits a bar and lounge, to velvet loungers and finally to the pinnacle of WOW – the hotel lobby. Here is a wonderful and dynamic digital artwork by Digital Kitchen. Throughout the lobby sit numerous columns in which a digital display shows moving images. The digital “movies” are divided into categories; navigation, seduction, voyage, discovery, current and pathways – all to do with experience.

This is a perfect partnership between art, architecture and digital design. Thanks for this design goodness!
