This giclée was created digitally on my computer, using the program Corel Painter. Instead of using traditional handheld paint brushes, oil or acrylic paint and canvas (as I’ve done for years in the past), I’ve used digital brushes and colours on a virtual canvas via a drawing tablet and stylus. Digital brushes act the same as a tangible ones, leaving the digital paint with brushstrokes evident.
This seated female nude is viewed from behind glancing down to her left and seems startled to see an apple. The painting harkens to the Bible’s story, Genesis 3:1, wherein Eve is tempted by the serpent to eat the forbidden fruit of the Garden of Eden.
The painting is printed on canvas and stretched on a 1″ deep frame. The edges are plain black.
