Light in the Darkness Drawings

These are a limited edition print series of the human nude. Michael Binkley has long had a love for high contrast light images. After decades of dramatically lighting his stone sculptures in his gallery and for exhibitions, he has extended his experience to his 2D works. In this series, “Light in the Darkness”, Binkley has added this element to his images of his favourite idiom – the female nude.

“Light in the Darkness” refers to the technique Binkley has used to describe the nude as high contrast white light against black and grey backgrounds. The result is dramatic images of the human nude appearing out of deep darkness.
