Uncovered – an Exhibition on the Nude

I will be participating in a group exhibition called Uncovered which will be held at the CityScape Art Space Gallery. The gallery is operated by the North Vancouver Community Arts Council is open Mondays to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm.

I’m excited about this exhibition, as it tackles the subject matter of the human nude, a subject that is widely ignored in the Vancouver, Canada art scene. I find this ironic, as this city is the birthplace of Lululemon, the tight-fitting and very popular sport clothing company. Vancouverites love to wear these revealing clothes, yet are very reticent to enjoy the human nude in fine art.

“This exhibition honours the nude, a timeless muse. Thirty-eight artists are represented, who work in diverse media such as photography, drawing, painting and sculpture. Works range from realism to semi-abstraction expressing the subtle romantic to the obvious and humorous.

I will be showing “The Gondolier’s Mistress”.
