The title of this abstract sculpture was inspired by the teardrop shape form at the top of the artwork that looks like a bird wing. Although abstract in form, the sculpture does have the shape of a female torso. The bottom half of the piece is like a Greek amphora jar, or the thighs and hips of a female nude. Binkley added a subtle shadow line on one side to emulate a buttock and thigh. The middle narrows before the form flares at the top to the wing from.

The sculpture is carved from quatsino marble which is quarried on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada and has grey blue mottling in the white background. The are also large calcite crystals which remind one of ice and snow. Binkley has used a smooth matte finish on the sculpture so that the marble can best hold shadows and is in contrast to the highly polish black granite base. The white marble is translucent, so light can penetrate the surface and at certain angles, the wingtip will glow wth light. The artwork is secured to the base by a hidden metal pin.
